1990 – 1992 Psychological Services for Law Enforcement, Merced, California. Performed psychotherapy with law enforcement personnel and their family members, as well as members of the general public. Participated in critical incident debriefings for police officers, fire fighters, and park rangers. Performed forensic research. 1992 – 1993 Internship
The Bradley Center Hospital, Columbus, GA
A year-long APA accredited internship in general inpatient and outpatient clinical psychology. Major rotations were completed in adult inpatient psychotherapy and adolescent day hospital treatment . Psychological assessment and report writing were integral components of both rotations. Minor rotations were completed in adult and child/adolescent outpatient psychotherapy. Psychodynamic and behavioral therapy was performed throughout all rotations. A minor rotation in forensic psychological assessment was also conducted.
1990 – 1991 CSPP Psychological Service Center
Psychological evaluation practicum though Fresno County Juvenile Probation Department. Evaluated youthful offenders and made appropriate recommendations to the court. Measures utilized included: MMPI, Rorschach, TAT, WISC-R, Bender Gestalt, Jesness Juvenile Inventory, Draw a Person, BDI, WRAT-R, and K-ABC.
Fresno County Mental Health – Youth Services – Out Patient
Received training in child therapy and theraplay. Attended treatment team meetings, presented cases to agency staff and fellow trainees, consulted with medical director, social workers and psychologists. Performed family therapy on an as needed basis.
